Den svenska swapspreadens förklaringsfaktorer : en empirisk analys
This paper presents empirical evidence on the determinants of interest rate swap spreads in Sweden during the period 1999-2003. The results suggest that the spread between STIBOR and the general collateral repo rate is positively related to shorter maturity swap spreads. The risk premium associated with commercial bonds is positively related to swap spreads of all maturities. A negative relationship is observed between the term structure of interest rates and swap spreads. The short-term interest rate is positively related to spreads with shorter maturities.

A Study of a Swap of Information Systems in an Organisation
Denna studie är en fallstudie som behandlar telekomföretaget Relacoms arbete med att gå från ett affärssystem till ett annat. Vi har med hjälp av intervjuer och flera enkätundersökningar bland personal samt diskussion med företagets ledning erhållit relevant fakta. Den planering och de processer som företaget använts sig av har dokumenterats och analyserat med hjälp av teorier hämtade från diverse akademiska skrifter inom området. Vi avslutar vår studie med en slutsats där vi presenterar vårt resultat samt en rekommendation till Relacom som behandlar fortsättningen av övergångsarbetet.
Vårt resultat av Relacoms tillvägagångssätt vid byte av affärssystem är att ledningen skötte sig väl, men vissa kommunikationsbrister uppstod..
Pricing Credit Default Index Swaptions A numerical evaluation of pricing models
This study examines the background and nature of the credit default index swaption (CDIS) and presentsrelevant methods for modelling credit risk. A CDIS is a credit derivative contract that gives the buyerright to enter into a credit default index swap (CDS index) contract at a given point in time. ACDS index, in turn, is a multi-name credit default swap (CDS). Within the eld of research, thisthesis identi es the CDIS pricing models presented by Jackson (2005), Rutkowski & Armstrong (2009)and Morini & Brigo (2011) as the most recognized and developed. These models are evaluated byreconstruction in a numerical software environment.
Evaluation of Capital Structure Arbitrage in the Equity-Credit Markets
Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to test for the existence of Capital Structure Arbitrage oppertunities in the equity-credit markets. Methodology: The mispricing of Credit Default Swap contracts are calculated and used as input in an Equity-Credit market trading strategy. The returns are then evaluated with a modified Value-at-Risk simulation. Theoretical perspectives: A Merton-based structural model, CreditGrades, is used for credit pricing and a mispricing-convergence trading-strategy between the credit and equity markets is implemented. Empirical foundation: Daily quotes for the Credit Default Swap spread of 37 European firms were collected for a period of two years, as well as equity-prices for the same period and the previous two years, used for model calibration.

A comparative thesis to study precious metals impact on a portfolio, during a long period of time, from the fourth quarter of 1986 to the third quarter of 2012. Five different portfolios are compared; three of the portfolios containing one of the following precious metals, gold, silver and platinum, the fourth portfolio contain all precious metals and shares, and the fifth portfolio containing only shares which is represented of OMXS30. This is done to determine the portfolio that generates the most return in relation to the least risk with the help of historical prices. Värdering vid tvångsinlösen efter icke-kontanta bud
The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the legal practice of valuation in arbitration board proceedings concerning freeze-outs after non-cash take-over bids. We find that the most important method for valuing the shares offered in exchange for the shares of a target company is to take the volume-weighted average of the quoted prices of the shares offered in exchange during the acceptance period of the take-over bid. This thesis is a complement to previous studies by Peter Jennergren (1996) and by Andrea Lundqvist and Victor Ludvigsson (2007) of how the Balken case (a freeze-out case that was eventually decided by the Supreme Court of Sweden, in 1996) has affected the legal practice of valuation in freeze-out arbitration board proceedings. We have undertaken an empirical study of 48 freeze-outs between 1985 and 2006 where shares in the bidding companies were offered in exchange for shares in the target companies.
Interest rate swap eller inte? : En studie om de största svenska företagens användning av interest rate swaps
Syfte: Syftet är att undersöka svenska storföretags användande av derivatet ränteswap (svensk benämning för interest rate swap) för år 2012 och 2013 samt att undersöka skillnader utifrån tidigare funna bakomliggande faktorer mellan företag som använder olika typer av ränteswaps och företag som inte använder ränteswap.Metod: Studien tillämpade en empirisk totalundersökning gällande de icke-finansiella företagen noterade på Nasdaq OMX Stockholm Large Cap för slutet på år 2012 respektive år 2013. Utifrån företagens årsredovisningar kategoriserades företagen i fyra grupper baserat på företagets användande av ränteswap. Fem tidigare funna bakomliggande faktorer för användandet av ränteswap sammanställdes genomsnittligt per kategori och jämfördes därefter kategorierna emellan.Resultat: Av de största noterade börsföretagen använde 29 av 40 stycken företag ränteswap år 2012 och 29 av 42 företag år 2013. Företag som använde rörlig ränteswap var signifikant större än de företag som inte använde ränteswap för år 2012 och 2013. År 2013 hade de företag som använde fast och båda typer av ränteswaps högre andel kortfristiga lån i jämförelse med de företag som inte använde ränteswap.

A comparison will also be carried out in previous studies, to see if the application of the modelsand their suitability has changed.Method: The study used a qualitative approach with deductive approach. Price transmission dynamics of Chinese ADRs listed on the NYSE
Purpose: This study aims to examine the price transmission among ADRs (American Depositary Receipts) and their underlying shares, US market index and Hong Kong market index. We will attempt to capture how a shock in the home market is transmitted to the foreign (and vice versa). In addition we will attempt to assess the relative weight of each variable in the system generating unexpected variations of its own and other variables and at what speed the shocks are absorbed.Methodology: ADF unit root test, Johansen?s co-integration test, Granger causality test, VECM, impulse response, variance decomposition Empirical foundation: Five Chinese ADRs listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
